All of the mattresses that are offered directly through Serta.com will work well on our adjustable bases. For any non-Serta mattresses, we recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to see if your mattress is adjustable-friendly.

Divided bases are two pieces that can be divided horizontally whereas Split bases are two pieces that are split vertically, down the middle. Split Cal King bases have the benefit of the two sides being able to be adjusted independently of one another if you also have a Split Cal King mattress.

Each base has its own weight capacity, inclusive of the mattress and bedding, provided it is evenly distributed across the bed base. The weight capacities are as follows: 650 pounds for Motion Air®, 750 pounds for Motion Essentials®, and 850 pounds for Motion Perfect®.
